4^th ARCHed workshop in Austria

There is no horseback archery without a mount. We travelled to Austria (5-7.07.2019) to be hosted by Austrian Horseback Archers where archery as a sport and leisure activity is slowly on the rise. One of the issues in Austria is the lack of properly trained horses so the 4^th workshop was about preparing the horse to gallop calmly while the archer shoots. For two days we worked on desensitisation of our horses which was tough. Only one horse, who travelled from Poland and who is a cavalry horse took the archer’s equipment calmly and actually enjoyed the ride.

We were also treated to a cavalry show by the representative of the 20th Regiment of Polish Cavalry Witold Wierzbiński on his horse Mars.
