Kawalkada Sports Club

Kawalkada is the largest Sports Club teaching horseback archery in Poland. Although the Kawalkada Sports Club itself was registered only recently, it was created as a natural continuation of long-term Kawalkada Horseback Archery activities on the national, European and international levels.

Sports Club

Kawalkada Sports Club runs classes 7 days a week all year round. We own 16 trained horses and Korean, Hungarian, Polish and other styles, smaller training tracks. We also organize and conduct Horseback Archery Academy for all interested, although we place great emphasis on training juniors. We also train students from many universities in Poznań in archery as an equivalent of physical education classes. Apart from horseback archery, we teach horseback riding and organise International and European ranking competitions.

Our members

Members of our Club have many achievements: medals, cups, titles of Champions of Wielkopolska and Vice-Champions in the senior category: Anna Sterczyńska, Paweł Kaczmarek, Jacek Duda and, in the junior category, Aleksandra Chałupniczak.

Competitions

Our members participated, among others, in:

  • European Grand Prix (in Sweden, the Polish national team with Anna Sterczyńska won the gold medal),
  • European Championships (in France, the national team won the silver medal and Anna Sterczyńska was in the first 10)
  • Wielkopolska Championships and the Wielkopolska Cup,
  • Polish and Eurasia Cup.

They also regularly participate in other international Horseback Archery competitions (for example, on the Grunwald Fields, Białystok, and Sypniewo in Poland, in Hungary or Sweden). Our members rank highly in the Polish horseback archers rank system.

Our trainers teach both in Poland and abroad. Kawalkada Sports Club aims to promote horseback archery among youth and adults. We cooperate with many European and international associations as well as sports clubs. One of our main goals is to promote this sport among juniors as a great way to spend free time outdoors, develop physical activity and counteract addictions, as well as... boredom. We also aim at unifying rules and teaching skills in horseback archery as a sport discipline.
